Welcome to Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish Web Page. Information regarding our Parish Community is included for your convenience.
Our Parish was born from three faith communities in the City of Pittston and Borough of Hughestown. Blessed Sacrament Church, Rock Street, Hughestown, Saint Mary, Help of Christians Church, North Main Street, Pittston and Saint Mary’s Assumption Church, corner of Church and Carroll Streets, Pittston. The churches were combined under the leadership of one pastor in June, 2007. Saint Mary, Help of Christians Church, established in 1851, had the distinction of being the First Roman Catholic Parish established in Pittston. St. Mary’s Assumption Church was founded in 1863, in the middle of the Civil War, for German immigrants. Blessed Sacrament Church, originally a Mission Church of St. John the Evangelist, was established as a parish in 1945.
All three parishes were closed in November, 2010.
Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish was established on November 21, 2010.
This parish web page will be updated weekly for your convenience.
